JB Kind appoints Operations Manager
Hot on the heels of its management buyout, JB Kind has recruited an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the firm’s warehousing logistics – a key focus for the leading door distributor. New recruit & family man Sean Batchelor, (46), will be responsible for all warehouse operations, third party logistic services, health and safety, man management and customer service within this vital JB Kind function.
Previously holding senior posts at Great Universal Shopping, P&O, J&L and Blakemore Foodservice, Sean also holds a range of professional qualifications to support his practical experience.
JB Kind Commercial Director Martin Hile comments on the appointment:
“JB Kind is currently in a very strong position in the marketplace, which enables us to recruit the very best from across all disciplines. We chose Sean because we felt he had excellent experience, the right JB Kind ‘can do’ attitude and would fit really well into our thriving team.
“Excellence in distribution and delivery is part of what sets us apart from the competition so it’s essential we have the right person for the job. Sean brings with him a wealth of operations experience and he has been adding value to the JB Kind operations experience since his first day on site.”
New Operations Manager, and rugby coach in his spare time, Sean Batchelor notes:
“JB Kind is a well-respected company that’s known for its enthusiastic team spirit. I’m looking forward to working as part of a cohesive team, being responsible for changes that will impact positively on the bottom line and to being part of the JB Kind experience at this extremely exciting time.”
JB Kind employs 46 people at its Head Office in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, where new Operations Manager Sean Batchelor will be based. JB Kind announced its Management Buyout during February 2015.
