Key considerations when choosing internal doors for kitchens
When choosing kitchen internal doors, consider the overall style of your kitchen to select doors that complement your existing décor. This means taking into account the colour palette, materials and overall aesthetic of your kitchen.
Think about how you want to use the doors and select a style that meets your needs. Consider factors such as the size of your kitchen, the amount of natural light and your personal preferences. For example, if you have a small kitchen, you might choose sliding doors or pocket doors to save space. If you want to create a sense of openness and airiness, you might choose glass doors. And if you value privacy, you might choose solid doors with a traditional design.

Internal Kitchen Door FAQs
Generally, kitchen doors do not need to be fire doors. However, there are exceptions. If your kitchen door leads into an integral garage or if your property has three or more storeys with the kitchen door leading off a stairwell, then a fire door is required. For added fire safety, you may choose to install fire-rated doors in your kitchen as an extra precaution.
Fire doors are legally required in Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) and in shared areas of blocks of flats. Landlords may want to keep this in mind when refurbishing kitchens.

JB Kind offers both finished and unfinished door products. Finished doors (also known as pre-finished) are supplied ready to fit with either a varnish, laminate or paint finish. Unfinished timber doors are prepared ready for the customer to add a door stain or varnish of their choice. White primed doors are ready for a topcoat paint finish.
